An Awareness Session held at Salim Habib University: Understanding Evidence and Harassment Law

Federal Ombudsperson Miss Fauzia Viqar, attending as Chief Guest, clarified that inquiry proceedings are not criminal in nature and do not require proof beyond reasonable doubt. The law recognizes that harassment often occurs behind closed doors, so the evidentiary threshold is lower.

Students, faculty, and the University Inquiry Committee engaged actively, and Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder reaffirmed the university’s commitment to a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
