Uniting for Change: Empowering Religious Leaders to End Violence

Islamic Relief recently hosted a two-day event to foster collaboration between religious leaders and key government institutions, including FOSPAH and the Punjab Women Protection Authority.

Secretary FOSPAH, Mr. Arif Karim, shared FOSPAH’s pivotal role in addressing workplace harassment and securing women’s property rights. He emphasized the importance of working with religious leaders to create a unified approach to ending violence. Mr. Waqar Malik, Assistant Registrar FOSPAH, tackled critical issues like gender-based violence, delays in the judicial system, and the necessity of Ombudsperson offices. An open floor discussion followed, where participants shared insights and actionable solutions.

This event highlighted the power of collaboration in combating violence and building a society rooted in safety, respect, and equality.
