Ms. Fauzia Viqar, Federal Ombudsperson against Harassment emphasizes the necessity of harassment free education and workplace environments to accomplish the increased participation of women in the workforce
On 21st February 2024 SZABIST University organized an awareness seminar focusing on the critical topic of "Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace." The seminar was held at the Seminar Hall of SZABIST University (Karachi Campus) and aimed to raise awareness regarding harassment and to foster dialogue on this pressing issue. The awareness seminar was attended by distinguished speakers, including Ms. Fauzia Viqar, the Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment who delivered the keynote address. Mrs. Anis Haroon, Member National Commission for Human Rights also graced the event as the Special Guest Speaker. The audience was comprised of individuals from various prominent universities, NGOs and faculty, staff, students, and senior management of SZABIST University, including Madam Shahnaz Wazir Ali, President SZABIST University.
