FOSPAH Leads 16 Days Awareness Session at University of Peshawar’s Shaikh Zayed Islamic Centre
As part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, the FOSPAH Regional Office Peshawar conducted an awareness session at the Shaikh Zayed Islamic Centre, University of Peshawar. The session, attended by faculty and students, focused on workplace harassment, legal responsibilities, and the crucial role of students as future legal professionals in fostering safer and more equitable work environments. Participants were briefed on the definition of workplace harassment, the legal safeguards under the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010, and the mechanisms for reporting and redressal through FOSPAH. Students were encouraged to critically reflect on harmful societal attitudes that enable harassment, in alignment with the campaign theme “Hum Badlein Ge Soch; Changing the Mindset.” The session concluded with an engaging dialogue on accountability, awareness, and shared responsibility in creating respectful and inclusive workplaces. Through such initiatives, FOSPAH reaffirms its commitment to dignity, safety, and justice across all professional spaces.
