How can employers be held accountable if they don’t take workplace harassment complaints seriously?

This pressing question was raised during a training session led by our Regional Office, Lahore, at the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) in collaboration with the National Institute of Banking and Finance. The session focused on raising awareness about workplace harassment laws and the vital role FOSPAH plays in ensuring justice.

Ms. Lubna Ali, Regional Head of the Lahore Office, stressed that employers are legally bound to form inquiry committees to address harassment complaints fairly and impartially. Under its mandate, FOSPAH can hold organizations accountable, including imposing legal penalties and fines when necessary.

The session explored what constitutes sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination, how to effectively address it, and the responsibilities of both employees and employers under the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act of 2010.

At FOSPAH, we believe education is key to creating harassment-free workplaces. Together, let’s build a future where everyone feels safe, valued, and heard.
