Shaheed Bhutto Foundation (SBF) in collaboration with Pakisan Human Resource Network organized an awareness seminar on ‘Protection against Harassment at Workplaces’

On 23.05.2024 the Shaheed Bhutto Foundation (SBF) in collaboration with Pakisan Human Resource Network organized an awareness seminar on ‘Protection against Harassment at Workplaces’ at the School of Politics and International Relations, Quaid-I-Azam University. Ms. Meher Jamy, Law Officer at the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection against Harassment (FOSPAH) was invited as a Speaker. Other speakers at the event included Mr. Farhatullah Babar, former Senator; Mr. Asif Khan, CEO SBF; Ms. Hifsa Bukhari, Advocate Supreme Court; Mr. Riasat Ali Azad, President Islamabad High Court Bar Association; and Mr. Mian Zahid Sultan, President Human Rights Council. In her address Ms. Jamy elaborated on the mandate of FOSPAH and explained the harassment cognizable by the forum. She also informed the participants that after the 2022 Amendments to the Harassment Act of 2010 students can now complain about harassment to either their University’s Inquiry Committee or to FOSPAH. She ended her note by urging students to support victims of harassment and to intervene when they witness harassment.
