The FOSPAH Regional Office Lahore, in collaboration with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), organized a comprehensive session on harassment and gender discrimination at the IRS Academy, Lahore. Chaired by Ms. Lubna Ali, Regional Head Lahore, and Assistant Registrar Hassan Nadeem, the session aimed to raise awareness and promote a harassment-free workplace. The legal interns at FOSPAH provided a detailed overview of the Harassment Act 2010, covering the various types of harassment and the procedure for filing a complaint. Mr. Hassan elaborated on FOSPAH's mandate and shared insights into cases resolved under the Act. Additionally, he explained the office's procedures for addressing and resolving harassment cases, emphasizing the importance of prompt action and confidentiality. This was followed by an engaging question-and-answer session during which Mr. Hassan assured that FOSPAH is dedicated to ensuring swift justice, highlighting that the official website documents significant cases where perpetrators have been held accountable. The session concluded with thoughtful remarks from FBR representatives, highlighting the significance of protecting employees from workplace harassment. Certificates were distributed among the interns, and a shield was presented to Ms. Lubna Ali in appreciation of her efforts.
