Ombudsperson Fauzia Viqar Reaffirms Commitment to Women’s Dignity and Justice at PM House Event
“No woman should have to choose between her dignity and her livelihood.” Hon’ble Ombudsperson Ms. Fauzia Viqar At the Ministry of Human Rights’ event at the Prime Minister’s House yesterday, Ms. Viqar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to justice and equality. She highlighted FOSPAH’s unique role in restoring property worth over PKR 10 billion to women and delivering fast, free, and sensitive justice. The Ombudsperson further highlighted the Office’s procedures as fast, free, accessible, and sensitive, which have engendered growing trust amongst women and created a preventive effect across workplaces and institutions. She called for enhanced resource support, strengthened inheritance mutation processes, and expanded legal aid to sustain and deepen FOSPAH’s impact. FOSPAH remains dedicated to building safe, inclusive spaces and amplifying women’s voices across Pakistan.
