Ombudsperson Ms. Fauzia Viqar introduced the unique mandate of FOSPAH under Pakistan's commitment to gender equality and constitutional guarantees of women empowerment at the 3rd General Assembly Meeting of the OIC Ombudsman Association. In particular, Ms. Fauzia Viqar emphasised the importance of setting up dedicated women organisations such as FOSPAH to resolve the problems faced by women in society, in particular harassment, sexual and domestic violence; and denial of property rights. She noted that FOSPAH is committed to the ideals of empowering women, eradicating workplace harassment and realising the constitutional and Islamic right of women to own property by providing speedy justice to women at no cost in harassment and property matters.
