Promoting Awareness to Combat Workplace Harassment: Training Session Held at FWO Headquarters
Awareness is not merely knowledge; it is a force that drives social action. When institutions speak openly about harassment, they break the wall of silence and take the first step toward justice. At the FWO Head Office, a training session was conducted by FOSPA in Rawalpindi, led by Ms. Mah Rukh Aziz and Waqar Ahmed. The session highlighted various forms of harassment, their impacts, and how they manifest in the workplace. It was also clarified that highways and motorways fall under the definition of a “workplace.” Participants were informed that employees are legally protected under the “Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010.” Emphasis was also placed on the responsibilities of employers, including prevention, policy development, effective complaint mechanisms, and full compliance with the law.
