Ms. Fauzia Viqar, Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment, held a meeting with senior officials in Gilgit-Baltistan to advance institutional safeguards for women.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed, Additional Chief Secretary; Mr. Syed Akhtar Hussain Rizvi, Secretary School Education; and Mr. Sanaullah, Secretary Water and Power.

Ms. Fauzia Viqar shared the initiative to establish a dedicated office in Gilgit-Baltistan and emphasized the importance of collaboration across departments to ensure meaningful impact.

The initiative received strong support from GB’s senior leadership, signaling a united front for a safer, more equitable future for women.
