Advancing gender inclusivity in Pakistan’s civilian security sector!
Building on the success of the Police Awam Saath Saath initiative, the United States Institute of Peace has launched the Pasban Awam Saath Saath (PASS) program. This expanded phase now includes all civilian security agencies, with the goal of increasing women’s representation and contributions across the nation. Ms. Fauzia Viqar, Federal Ombudsperson for Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace, honored the launch event as a distinguished guest. With participation from over 70 inspiring women officers representing 14 agencies, the event featured panel discussions, workshops, and powerful insights from leaders, marking a significant milestone in fostering a more inclusive and equitable security sector. Together, we are building a safer, more equitable future!
