Our Karachi team broke down the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010, highlighting its key provisions:

  • Definition of Harassment – Covers unwelcome advances, sexual remarks, abusive behavior that create a hostile work environment, and gender-based discrimination 
  • Penalties & Punishments – Offenders can face demotions, dismissals, fines, or other disciplinary actions as per the law.
  • Obligation on Employers – All workplaces must display the Act’s Code of Conduct and ensure the existence of an internal inquiry committee.
