Recently, at the Training Institute of National Savings Islamabad, our Law Officer, Meher Jamy, took the Inquiry Committee through essential steps to handle workplace harassment cases effectively and with transparency. Ms. Jamy emphasized the critical need for openness in the complaint process and urged committees to support victims without pressuring them into compromise, ensuring that every case is handled with integrity and fairness. She also addressed a pressing question by one of the members of the inquiry committee: "Why is harassment so rampant in Pakistan?" Her response? Harassment is a global issue, but the stigma around it in Pakistan makes it harder for victims to come forward. This training is another step towards ensuring that no one has to suffer in silence. Together, we can create safer workspaces for all.
