Building Pathways to Support Women's Rights!
Islamic Relief Canada has launched a vital local-level referral mechanism pathway, aiming to ensure that women's rights issues and complaints are effectively addressed. This mechanism focuses on streamlining complaint handling, expanding access to legal aid, and supporting women’s empowerment at every step. Representatives from various sectors, including the Punjab Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW), NGOs, and Islamic Relief Pakistan, were present for the launch. Mr. Waqar Ahmed, Assistant Registrar at FOSPAH, conducted an awareness session for attendees. He discussed the importance of women’s empowerment, education, and property rights—key aspects within FOSPAH’s mandate. This initiative marks a critical step forward, promoting accessible support systems and ensuring women’s voices are heard and protected. Together, we’re working towards a future where women feel safe, empowered, and supported.
