Strengthening the Frontlines of Justice | FOSPAH x VAWC Multan

Violence against Women Center Multan, a 24/7 facility built to eliminate violence against women, brings together medical aid, police support, FIR lodging, prosecution, rehab, and forensics under one roof. Entirely run by women, this centre was established under the Punjab Protection of Violence Against Women (Amended) Act 2022.

Federal Ombudsperson, Ms Fauzia Viqar, met with SP Ms. Kainat Azhar, ASP Ms. Bareera Bullo, and SHO Ms. Iram Haneef and reviewed the system in place to respond to cases of violence against women. They shared valuable insights on cases handled and walked her through the Women Police Station, which is a step towards safety and accountability for women across South Punjab.
