One Day Stakeholders Training on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Referral Mechanism

In collaboration with UNHCR and Pathfinder, “One Day Stakeholders Training on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Referral Mechanism” was organized.

The training focused on understanding gender-based violence (GBV) in the context of Afghan women and girls, exploring the legal and institutional mechanisms available in Pakistan to address it. Ms. Meher Jamy, our Law Officer, led a detailed session highlighting Pakistan’s international commitments, such as the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and national laws like the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010, and the Enforcement of Women’s Property Rights Act, 2020.

The training underscored the need for effective referral mechanisms to support survivors and ensure their access to justice and rehabilitation.
