FOSPAH Launches CMS, Mobile App and New Website | An Important Step Towards Digitalisation
The Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment (FOSPAH) today launched its Complaint Management System (CMS), mobile application and new website at a ceremony held at FOSPAH Head Office, Islamabad. The initiative aims to make access to justice easier for the public and bring greater transparency to the institution.
The Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Mr. Azam Nazeer Tarar, attended the event as Chief Guest.
The Federal Ombudsperson, Ms. Fauzia Viqar, said complainants will now be able to create an account using their CNIC, email and mobile number, and file and track multiple complaints from a single account. Notices, updates and documents will now be available online, reducing the need for office visits and postal correspondence. She said verified registration would also help reduce false or baseless complaints.
She said the new system would help FOSPAH monitor cases and make it easier to identify delays. The organisation has set a target of reducing paperwork by 70 to 80 percent, moving FOSPAH towards becoming fully paperless. She added that the new website would also make laws, procedures, rights, decisions and statistics easily accessible.
Ms. Fauzia Viqar said that in the next phase, FOSPAH will also use artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics, including assistance in preparing applications and creating a searchable database of decisions.
The Federal Ombudsperson thanked NITB, FOSPAH's IT team and all concerned officers for making the project possible. The Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Khawaja, and the CEO of the National Information Technology Board-NITB, Govt. of Pakistan, Mr. Faisal Iqbal Ratial, also played an important role in the project.
Mr. Azam Nazeer Tarar appreciated the development of FOSPAH's digital app and CMS. Honorary certificates were presented to the NITB team on behalf of FOSPAH. An honorary shield and the institution's annual report were also presented to Federal Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar by Ms. Fauzia Viqar.
The event was moderated by FOSPAH Communications Officer Ms. Yumna Jamil.
The Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment remains committed to making support against workplace harassment easily accessible.
