Ombudsperson Ms. Fauzia Viqar Engages Young Female Lawyers on Access to Justice and Women's Rights
As part of a Five-Day Capacity Building Programme for 25 young female lawyers, organized by the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA), Islamabad, in collaboration with SHARPPakistan, the participants visited the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH) on September 10, 2026. Federal Ombudsperson Ms. Fauzia Viqar engaged the participants in an interactive discussion, while Mr. Muhammad Haroon, Director Academics, FJA, presented a shield to the Federal Ombudsperson.
The visit provided participants first-hand exposure to FOSPAH's institutional framework, functions, and working environment, aimed at broadening their understanding of the justice system's institutional and practical dimensions.
The programme seeks to strengthen participants' capacity in addressing gender-based violence (GBV), promoting women's rights, and facilitating access to justice.
